Description
Our ground vanilla beans (made from our own 100% Tahitian vanilla beans) doesn't contain any sugar or additives of any kind. This is NOT sugar powder. Also, unlike many cheaper products on the market, our ground vanilla is NOT made from exhausted vanilla beans. We take whole pristine beans and grind them to a coarse powder. That's it. Nothing else is added.
Ground vanilla beans are very easy to use. You need just a little amount to add excellent vanilla flavor.
For example, you can add a teaspoon to coffee before brewing to make a whole pot of vanilla flavored coffee. It is also great in tea, Creme Brulee, and ice cream.
*1/2 teaspoon of ground vanilla beans is approximately the equivalent of 1 teaspoon extract.
To previous customers:
You will notice a change in the appearance of our ground vanilla beans. This is simply because we have lowered the moisture content to preserve shelf life and avoid any bacteria growth.
The production process is the same as before. We take our 100% Tahitian vanilla beans, dry them (so they will not clog the grinding machines), double grind them, and then add back some water to restore them to their more natural moisture content. It is this last step that we have discontinued.
If you prefer the previous texture you can restore the moisture by emptying the entire contents of the ground beans into a small bowl and then very slowly adding small amounts of water while mixing with a fork. Be careful not to add too much as a few drops of water goes a long way. You can then repack the ground beans in the jar and use as before.

*Current customers: We will discontinue the current ground vanilla beans in the near future with freeze dried ground vanilla beans. The Freeze dried method doesn’t use heat and therefore it preserves vanilla flavor better compared to the current ground vanilla beans. Our ground vanilla will still consist of nothing but our 100% pure Grade A Tahitian beans with nothing else added. We will announce when the new freeze dried ground beans are available online.
